Our Story

In 2009, Dave Kowalski and Rob Tillman founded Vanguard Plumbing with a simple promise: no subcontractors, no cutting corners, and real people answering the phone when you call. Both held master plumber licenses and refused to build a company that relied on other trades to do the work. Every job, from emergency calls at 2 AM to full bathroom overhauls, goes to someone who knows the code and stands behind the work.

That philosophy stuck. Over 16 years, we've completed more than 2,800 jobs across Medina County—from residential emergency response to planned renovations. We grew to four full-time trucks and added Amy Chen to manage estimating and scheduling, making sure every customer gets a clear timeline and upfront pricing before a single wrench turns. No surprises, no pressure sales, just honest work.

Today, Vanguard is the name Medina County reaches for when pipes fail at midnight, when a water heater dies, or when a drain stops flowing. We're licensed, we're bonded, we answer our own phones, and we've built something we're genuinely proud of: a team that shows up, does it right the first time, and makes you feel like your problem matters.
